Monica Hertzman is a communications professional with more than three decades of experience writing and editing policy papers and creating websites, newsletters, and social media content. At RAND, she crafted newsletters and digital communications for the RAND School of Public Policy, led website content creation for RAND Europe and numerous other programs and centers, and edited research reports and briefs. Previously, she was director of publications at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, managing editor of The Washington Quarterly at the Center for Strategic and International Policy, and a freelance editor for numerous think tanks and policy shops in the D.C. area. She has edited more than two dozen books and hundreds of articles by policy experts.
Hertzman has an MA in international relations from the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at the Johns Hopkins University and a BA in journalism, history, and political science from Southern Methodist University. She has professional certificates in web management from UCLA, research editing from the George Washington University, and project management from the University of Pittsburgh.
